Enhanced home cardiac monitoring service for children

A congenital heart defect or a heart disease acquired in childhood affects the child and his family members and requires diagnosis and ambulatory treatment combined with repeated hospitalizations for diagnosis, invasive interventions, and medication balance, all under a professional and multidisciplinary care team.

With enhanced-home-cardiac-monitoring service, you can perform the required follow-up at the end of the treatment – at the convenience of your home. Thus, making it easier for you, parents, and your son or daughter, who will be happy to return to their familiar surroundings, rather sooner than later.

The home follow-up clinic, which operates as part of the Children's Heart Institute at the Center for Congenital Heart Defects in collaboration with Sheba BEYOND, serves as a direct link between the hospitalization and the check-ups at the Children's Heart Institute, and enables continued follow-up by the staff you know, without coming to the clinic itself.

Facts worth knowing:

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), congenital heart defects are the most common type of birth defect, affecting about 1 in every 100 babies born worldwide.

Childhood heart diseases, which can occur due to factors such as genetics, lifestyle, and environmental influences, are estimated to affect about 1 in every 500 children suffering from some form of heart disease.

The service's benefits:

  • Seamless continuity between inpatient and outpatient care

  • Improving quality of care at the patient's home and in our department

  • Quicker return to the child's natural environment

  • Providing personalized and accessible care
