Home Care for High-Risk Pregnancies

Women hospitalized in Sheba’s high-risk pregnancy unit can now opt for hospital treatment at home to stay closer to their families. This home care is facilitated by advanced technologies from BEYOND, allowing remote monitoring of both mother and fetus without compromising on the highest and most professional level of care. This option is available after a comprehensive assessment confirms the patient is suitable for the service.

The decision to allow home care for high-risk pregnant women stems from the understanding that the patient's natural environment is best for her, especially when there are other children at home.

Who is eligible for the service?

  • A woman with a single pregnancy
  • Pregnancy week is 23+0 and above
  • BMI (Body Mass Index) is below 40
  • Living up to 30 kilometers from the medical center in Sheba or another hospital with a delivery room

How do you start home hospital care?

Each patient's fit for home hospital care is determined through a medical protocol, using robust clinical judgment. If found suitable, you’ll receive guidance on using the Datos app, through which your remote medical treatment will be managed, and instructions on how to use the necessary telemedicine equipment needed for the service. In addition, you will also receive a blood pressure and pulse monitor. If you are diagnosed with diabetes, you will be connected to the gynecology and midwifery app of Sheba BEYOND for home blood sugar monitoring.
