Remote Rehabilitation for Individuals Living with Multiple Sclerosis

For those living with multiple sclerosis daily practice is important for improving and maintaining functional abilities at home and beyond. Online rehabilitation for multiple sclerosis allows for ongoing practice with regular monitoring by a therapist from the hospital.

Motor-cognitive Program

Motor function difficulties, such as limited range of motion and muscle weakness, can impede the daily functioning of individuals with multiple sclerosis. This treatment utilises two and three-dimensional cameras, providing patients with exercises in varying degrees of motor and cognitive difficulty, under remote supervision and guidance. The exercises are enjoyable, challenging, and foster motivation.

Individual Cognitive Program

The therapy focuses on imparting strategies to improve the ability to perform daily activities, such as managing a schedule, shopping, managing finances, work, learning, and leisure. This includes addressing cognitive difficulties - memory and attention problems, organizational issues, and more.

Treatment is provided by an occupational therapist via a personal video call, which includes content focused on the patient's specific difficulties.

Speech Therapy Program

Multiple Sclerosis can weaken the speech organs like the tongue, lips, and cheeks, making it hard to speak clearly. This can cause slurred speech and missing letters.

Through speech therapy, individuals can engage in exercises aimed at strengthening or maintaining the mobility of their speech organs. Additionally, they can master various compensatory techniques (such as keeping the mouth in an open position or emphasizing sounds) to enhance speech clarity.

Online communication therapy offers customized solutions that address the specific speech and language needs of each patient.
