Online nutritional counselling for children
Parents of children diagnosed with severe illnesses often seek guidance and advice on their children's nutrition after being discharged from hospital - especially after their first hospitalisation.
Many infants and children from the Palestinian Authority are discharged from hospital with a diagnosis that comes with a recommendation for nutritional follow-up. Since the infrastructure for coping with complex nutritional care is often inadequate, many of these patients find themselves rehospitalised due to complex nutritional problems (malnutrition).
The Nutrition Department at Sheba Medical Center offers online consultations and follow-ups in Arabic for infants and children aged 0-21, with diagnoses that require ongoing nutritional monitoring after discharge, recommended by a dietitian, doctor, or treating physician.
